Program Highlights
LACIS is a member of the Wisconsin International Outreach Consortium (WIOC), which allows us to work collaboratively with other area studies programs to perform outreach to the community, K-12 teachers, post-secondary institutions, and Wisconsin businesses. We sponsor regularly scheduled Brown Bag sessions as an informal way for students and faculty to share current research. In addition LACIS funds and coordinates academic and cultural events, conferences, and symposia on campus independently and in cooperation with other departments and programs.
