Email: tran.dang@rhizomecenter.org
Current Work: Tran is a recognized expert and leading voice on the mid- to long-term consequences of U.S. immigration enforcement policies on the U.S.-Mexico border region, with particular emphasis on their larger impact on mixed-status families, labor migrants, and immigrant veterans. She is a contributing author at the Baker Institute for Public Policy, a leading U.S. academic think tank, and has taught for the Foreign Service Institute, a training institution for U.S. diplomats. Since 2019, 60+ U.S. law students and immigrant rights advocates have attended her on-the-ground course in Mexico on border politics and its implication in the region. She hopes that her affiliation with UW will strengthen her work in improving the lives of migrants on both sides of the border.
