Dual Degree in Law and LACIS

The dual degree program established by the Law School and LACIS allows students to complete a J.D. and an M.A. in a minimum of seven semesters.

Ph.D. Minor in LACIS

Candidates for a Ph.D. degree in other departments may obtain a minor in Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies (LACIS) by taking a minimum of 12 credits in graduate courses related to Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain or Portugal.

Languages

LACIS is pleased to offer coursework in Spanish and Portuguese for those who wish to study another language from our region of the world. Periodically, we offer courses in Ecuadorian Quechua and Yucatec Maya, as well.
