Join Professor Theresa Delgadillo for a talk inspired by the exhibition You Belong Here: Place, People, and Purpose in Latinx Photography. This program considers the mythos of the “ideal immigrant” to query portrayals of labor, home, and belonging in Latinx photographic self-representation.

About the speaker: Theresa Delgadillo is the Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor, English and Chican@/Latin@ Studies at UW-Madison. A native of Milwaukee, Prof. Delgadillo is a noted authority on U.S. Latinx spirituality and religion, the African Diaspora and Latinidad, and Latinxs in the Midwest.
