Sarah Ripp is the Academic Services and Programming Manager for the Latin American, Caribbean & Iberian Studies Program (LACIS) at UW–Madison. She first joined LACIS in 2008 as Assistant Director, serving in that role until 2016. She then worked as Assistant Director for Programming and Communications at the Institute for Regional and International Studies (IRIS) before returning to LACIS in 2019.

Sarah advises LACIS undergraduate students, provides administrative support for graduate students, and coordinates the center’s academic and public programming. She also leads LACIS’s communications, marketing, social media, community engagement, and K–12 outreach efforts.

Since 2024, Sarah has served as an elected member of the School District of Lodi Board of Education. She is also a member of the Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs Alumni Council.

Sarah lives north of Madison with her husband and their three children. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, sewing, traveling, golf, researching family genealogy with her son, reading travel memoirs, helping care for her family’s beehives, and planning events and celebrations.
